Fly-fishing for Bass in the South of England is becoming the most exciting method for catching this hard fighting species. Traditionally found in warm Southern waters of the UK, (Dicentrachus Labrax) can be located near shorelines and coastal areas, outcrops and shingle flats. This fish can be so close inshore that you would actually miss them if you used traditional methods of beach-casting.

Using fly-fishing equipment allows the Sport-fisherman to travel quickly and efficiently between feeding areas - as you will discover, if Bass are not feeding it's probably because they are not there so keeping pace with these ferocious hunters is of primary importance.

Standard tackle would include a Weight 8 (9ft or 10ft) Saltwater rod with an equivalent line combined with a salt resistant Large Arbor reel backed up with plenty of braid.

All rods & reels are supplied but chest waders are essential when walking the flats.
